What is P.I.W.O.?
Poznańska Impreza Wolnego Oprogramowania – or, in English, Poznań Free Software Fest – is a free to attend conference which aims to popularize free, libre and open source software and to promote the GNU/Linux family of operating systems.
The event spans an entire day and contains lectures, workshops, lightning talks, showcases, as well as contests and LAN Party tournaments. Talks cover a wide variety of topics — programming, security, hacking, hardware, gaming, DevOps, network administration, and even legal aspects of free software. To top it all off, there's also free pizza.
The conference welcomes both beginners and professionals, including programmers, system and network administrators, students, high school pupils, and other free software enthusiasts.
